Colours of Autumn. During the month of April, the signs of autumn are starting to show here in South Africa— leaves are turning warm shades, flowers are fading, and nature is slowly preparing to rest for winter.
But this rest isn’t the end — it’s the start of renewal, preparing for the beauty of spring.
Autumn is part of the rhythm, not the conclusion.
This reminds me of Good Friday, a moment when we reflect on the incredible sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. But imagine if that was the end of the story…like a movie where the king dies for his people, unable to save them.
But our story is so different. Just like autumn isn’t the final chapter, Jesus didn’t stay in the grave. Three days later, He rose again!
As we reflect this Easter, may you be reminded that you’re part of a story with a life-giving ending. And may you find the courage to trust Him fully and surrender wholeheartedly.
John 11:25-26 ”I am the resurrection and the Life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. “
